Summer vacation family photo sessions are in full swing here in Tampa Bay! I feel like I am at Indian Rocks Beach at least twice a week for family vacation beach pictures. Honestly, it feels incredibly lucky to be paid not only doing what I love photographing families, but also being paid to go to the beach. This family was just too fun to document while they were here on vacation at Indian Rocks Beach. They have made many summer family memories visiting our awesome Tampa Bay area beaches from the Midwest and I am so glad they found me to help document their family time at the beach together.

This session right here just goes to to show you that fancy dresses, extra costly outfits that match perfectly are not neccessary to get great family photos. If your family is a jeans and t-shirt kind of family, of course that is cool in my book. I won’t make you wear anything you don’t love. I don’t make you pick from a client closet of fancy dresses. No, you can be yourselves. Of course I am here for some guidance but generally there is something in your closet that can work. You don’t all have to match. But rather coordinate is better. However, being authentically you and documenting that in lovely photos is always my goal. No matter what your wardrobe is.

Senior style! Check out this stunning and smart young woman’s senior session we did at Winthrop Town Center, Riverview, fo her senior pictures. The whole family was included and that makes my mama and photographer heart so happy!

Vacation family photos, yes please! This spring has full of the most wonderful families spending time together at the beach for fun, relaxed, connected family photos. This Indian Rocks Beach family photo session had some moody skies and one little moody kid. But that never stops us from having a good time and ultimately getting happy and fun family photos, too!

Extended family portraits are just the best to be part of as a photographer. I love being able to deliver both traditional portraits and more relaxed moments that fit each individual family unit’s personality as well. This large family photo session at John Chesnut Sr Park was a casual and pretty backdrop for this vacationing family to Tampa Bay.

Urban family photo session, yes please. The biggest hit this fall and first location snatched up off the schedule right away. This lovely family has been coming back to me for ten years. I think this was one of my favorite sessions of theirs yet. They fit perfectly in this urban setting. Oh, and if you you are looking for a cool urban photo shoot next year, the flowers that bloom in the spring really make the riverwalk come alive more, too. It is a great spot for high school senior sessions or fun family photo sessions any time of year!

This family has been on my blog a lot. Which I love because I really love watching clients kiddos grow up before my lens! I mean look at little L. His curls and big beautiful eyes are a photographer’s dream. This holiday session at Kiley Gardens in Downtown Tampa was a great night during the earlier part of schedule for weekday mini-sessions this fall!

The most glorious “fall” like night at Hillsborough River State Park and a lovely family photo session full of laughter, fun and sweet moments. Medad Park in Plant City is one of my favorite photo locations in Tampa Bay. This darling family has even been to this location twice for family pictures. Yes, it is that good!

Kismet, that is what this session was. Just meant to be. A gorgeous night with the sweetest family about to welcome their newest addition any moment. Brandon, Florida, pregnancy pictures taken in Winthrop Town Center, full of light, love and connections!

Tampa maternity photos at Medard Park, just east of Tampa, is one of my favorite settings for family photos in general. If you have young children, this park is up there for a great photo location because it has so much space to play and explore. Plus, it is just a gorgeous backdrop for expectant mamas.
