You know I love a good pregnancy announcement! This one was no different. We met at a local park in FishHwak Ranch early one morning to help take some photos to share their big news! Thankfully we were able to set up a morning session with all the rain we have been having almost every evening. Mornings are a good way to make sure to get your photo session in without rescheduling in late summer. If you are newly expecting, one of the weekday mini-sessions coming up in early fall would be a great way to incorporate a fun announcement into your family photos, too. Or even a short and sweet way to document your pregnancy if you are farther along, too!

This family came to visit the area earlier this month and we had an amazing night for a fun, family photo session on Coquina Beach. I love when people set up vacation family photos while in the Tampa Bay area. I photograph families as far north as Honeymoon Island and as far south as Lido Key and everywhere in between. If you are heading to Anna Maria Island, Redington Beach, Indian Rocks Beach or somewhere close by, the odds are that I know the perfect beach for us to document your time here on our gorgeous Gulf of Mexico beaches. Usually it is somewhere close to where you are staying or where you are vacationing if you are right on the beach!

I loved meeting this sweet family a couple of weeks ago when they were down in the area dropping their oldest daughter off at college. What a gorgeous night and family, right? I loved seeing their oldest daughter interact so sweetly with the younger siblings and how much everyone just soaked up their time together. I can’t imagine dropping your first baby off at school, especially in another state. What a great location though, especially with her marine biology focused study! This family made a family trip of it though and really seemed like they had a great time together before the big drop off. Sending miss C the best of luck!!! I am so glad this sweet family moved back to the area. I was lucky enough to photograph their oldest a LONG time ago for her newborn photos. My, has she changed since then and I mean, come on, now they have three more kiddos and it doesn’t get any sweeter than that! Their mama also was the best “big boy sitter” as the boys called her back then. She helped me as I was getting into business and had kids not school aged at that point. She would take them to the park, the museum and was the BEST! Now, she is the best mama, and I am not surprised at all! So, here is a morning session we did at my favorite Tampa flower field.

Newborn pictures Tampa with both the ease of an in home photo session but also sneak outside in Decmeber for beautiful outdoor newborn photos is just amazing! Being the one to document big brother’s newborn photos, I was able to do a similar set up to his newborn photos for his new little sister. I especially love that their pup made an appearance in both newborn photo sessions as well. Poop pup looks a little more tired this time around with a second baby in his space but the family looks full of joy and love, right?

When should newborn photos be taken? Well, that really depends on what you want from your baby photos. As a longtime newborn photographer in Tampa, I have done newborn pictures at a few days old and a month after baby is born. Each will have different experiences and your photographer should help get to know you before you book to make sure your vision meets their photographic style, too!

Despite the colder weather we are having, it isn’t as cold as Colorado, right? This gorgeous and fun family got together for vacation on Indian Rocks Beach and set up their extended family photo session to document their time together. I am so honored and thankful this family has welcomed me to their home year after year. We always have the best light, the best location and best time. I definitely sweat a lot less this year, thankfully as well. The picture perfect weather in October allowed us time to relax and take some stress free family photos at their home again this year. I absolutely adore this family and feel like the photos are just a bit more special this time around for them, too. I can’t believe how much the kids have matured. I am going to share a few of our first session at the very end just to show how time flies!

That means they get a little extra time and a whole roll of film to play with and keep the digitals of at the end as well. Davis Islands and film are also a perfect match like peanut butter and jelly!

I just love when a night works out with perfect weather, the perfect light, the perfect family and the perfect outfits. I work hard with clients to help guide them to be themselves in photos and still bring style that fits them and works well in camera. This family probably didn’t need much help in the style departement though at all. They layered the most perfect textures and variety of fabrics in all neutrals. A one month old in the comfort of their home is the best way to document your baby without too much stress. When you are sleep deprived and running on hormones and caffeine, keeping things simple for your baby’s first photo session is always best.
