I adore this family. Literally, they are both the sweetest and most photogenic. Not to mention that baby boy, I mean, he could be the Gerber baby! Am I right? Additionally, we have had lots of photo sessions together since announcing their pregnancy. We all know each other so well and that makes it so much less stressful on them. I know family photos shouldn't be stressful. But I know a lot of the moms out there in particular know it is a bit of stress picking out what to wear, the right locations for what you are wearing and what age/phase your kiddos are at. Then we all want our kids to be perfect angels at photo sessions, too. Keep in mind, I am a mom and there is nothing that I haven't already seen from my own kiddos and over ten years of family photography experience.

Here is a look back at their past few sessions with me. Their pregnancy announcment on the BLOG. Then their gorgeous in-home newborn session HERE. Then, their fall mini-session, which I sadly didn't blog because it taken in the midst of crazy fall family photo session season, so below you can get a glimpse to see how much this cutie has grown since November!

These Tampa family pictures taken at UT was a breeze. Thanks to our planning and our past sessions together, I know what they like in photos, and can help put them at ease. They know the drill, and that just makes it a time to cuddle, laugh, play and overall, just relax. This was a mini-session. However, we had lots and lots of shots to chooose favorites from!

While we had lots to deal with beforehand, from weather to red tide and a few sickies, it all worked out. The University of Tampa was perfect on this overcast and humid night. We had the porch as a back up plan if we weren't getting storms. The storms stayed well to our north this particular night and we even managed to stay dry. I loved the overcast soft light. It works particularly well in black and white with all the brick at this location, too.

The soft light also meant we could play all around the Plant Hall area of UT for some iconic Tampa family photo location pictures. I think you can see they all had fun, too! If you are looking for family photos here, the best part of UT is that it works well in the morning and the evening. I hopefully will see a few families here again this fall for my fall mini-sessions. Those will go live for clients first, starting next month. Want to be added to the HCP Newsletter? Happy to hel! Sign up on the website home page, or email me at Brooke@HamiltonCreekPhotography.com. Both of these locations - the one featured in their mini from fall last year and UT should be on the fall 2021 schedule, too!

These shots above look like they should be in a magazine. I loved the grand feeling of the stairs and framing that the greenery gave on a few, too. I am sure I looked a bit crazy shooting through the bushes for anyone on campus that night. Worth it, 100%

My favorites from the session were absolutely the film shots we took at the end of the session. The Portra400 was perfect for this slightly overcast day and just so timeless. First birthday milestone photo sessions are a great time to add on a roll of film to a session! So classic. Ask me how to add a roll to your next session, or click here. Check out the film shots below.
